Darkrise is developed by two indie developers, they build the game very tough in 2D retro pixel style. There are four main classes to choose from; Mage, Warrior, Archer, and Rogue. Anyone of the class you are selected has their own unique special skills and strengths from the other classes. The story of the game is interesting, the homeland of your character hero is in trouble which is invaded by globins, undead creatures, demons, and neighbors, your mission is to save your hero’s homeland from them. Start your adventures and make your hero stronger to clean up your homeland from the curse.
Darkrise is offering over 50 different locations in three difficult levels. Enemies appear in front of you, these enemies are very smart and tricky because some are defective and others have unique powers that you never predict. However, the fight gets more interest with its shaking camera flashes when you are attacking them and everything is flying around. The key is to go forward and fight to the end to avoid losing.
There are eight types of equipment from six levels that enhance the power of your character. With special gem slots, you can upgrade your armor to get some extra points in the game. But victory is not possible through only degradation because this age is very tough and requires a special strategy.
